S. Annette Sellers Carruba:  

Life I am the former Sylvia Annette (I prefer Annette) Sellers. I attended Hueytown Elementary, Pittman Junior High and then Hueytown High School. I have lived all but 20 years of my life in Hueytown. I worked at Southern Bell Telephone (now Bell South) from 1966 till 1969. I married a '66 classmate-Joe Earley in 1967. We have two children: Shannon Elaine Earley and Jeffrey Carl Earley. I became a cosmetologist and worked as a hairdresser for one year at Judy's-on-Courtney in Homewood. I worked as an instructor for Cargile Beauty college, downtown before starting work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in 1975. I retired from Blue Cross on September 30th, 2003 after almost 29 years. My life changed in May 1988 when Joe and I divorced; however, I met another wonderful man (Charlie Carruba) in October 1988 and we became best friends. On December 28th, 1992, my best friend became my husband. Side note: Guess what!!! Charlie graduated from John Carroll in 1966 and he knew Joy Carol Day.
