Tabetha's Story

Life My husband Michael and I have moved to Pittsburgh. I am currently pursuing my docotorate at the University of Pittsburgh on a teaching fellowship. Previously I worked for the Providence public school department for 8.5 years. School Guess I'm getting old. Actually starting to have nostalgic memories of high school. Must have something to do with turning 30. Houston, I think we have a problem! College Party animal, maniac, radical,focused professional but with a kind of crazy personal life. Depending on when and how you knew me in college any of these labels may fit. I made up for my less than fulfilling high school social life, that's for sure. I was suffering from temporary insanity. But hey, I graduated with a strong academic record and went on to a successful professional career and a Master's degree, so I guess it's all good. You gotta live a little when you're young. Workplace I am the Middle School ELL Specialist for Providence Public Schools. My job is to support the bilingual and ESL programs in the middle schools throughout Providence. Fast paced and occasionally stressful, but overall a good career thus far. Currently contemplating a move to Pittsburgh pending the outcome of my application to the University of Pittsburgh after being offered a full fellowship to do my PhD there. Will update when I know how this all pans out.
