Tamara's Story
Life
I just have to say life has been an incredible journey. I am currently living in Romania as a missionary to children. I have been here since October '06 and will continue to live here for many years, coming back to Oregon every few years to raise more support and visit friends/family. I am spending my first year in intensive language classes and then will be working with children throughout the country. I would love to hear from you to see what you are up to. Whether we really knew each other in high school or not - let's chat - always great to meet new friends... or get reacquainted with old ones.
College
After Centennial I went to Portland State and received my B.S in Accounting and S...Expand for more
peech Communications. After working five years in the business field, I attended Georgefox Evangelical Seminary and graduated in '01 with an MA in Christian Ministries. Following that I became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.
Workplace
After PSU I worked for 5 years in a Real Estate Investment Firm as a tax specialist. I was then called into full time ministry when I entered into Seminary and came on staff at Portland Christian Center as the Early Childhood Children's Pastor. I was there there for over 6 years I am currently living in Romania with the Assemblies of God working with children... it is amazing here. Of course learning a new language and culture is no easy task.
