Tami's Story
Life
9/03: I have been happily married for 5 yrs...starting a family soon. I used to work many hours in management but now I work from home part-time and enjoy the beach. My husband, Fess, travels on business often so I enjoy getting to go too. We've been to 10 countries and almost every state. We love Hawaii and visit it regularly. Living near L.A. has many things to enjoy...theater, restaurants, concerts, driving up the coast in our classic cars, etc. and we are fortunate to have most of our family living in California. We have a blessed life, God has been good to us.
I'm sure there are many things we wish we could change about high school. But living through those experiences, even mistakes, help us become the better persons that we are today. And I'm sure we all have much better hair than we did in the 80's!
10/05: Wow, how things have changed in two years! My husband & I have sold our home & moved to Central California. My husband decided to change careers and is now an elementary school teacher and loves his students. I am an Event Director for a large church and there's nothing I love more than planning a party!
Then in Jan. 2005, we began the adoption process for 5 sisters. We now have custody of the 3 older ones. They are 10, 11 & 12 yrs old. We should be getting their 10 month old twin sisters in January. And to top it off, we are expecting our first natural child in March. God sure does have a sense of humor.

girls since they were toddlers (their parents are no longer able to take care of them) so our adjustment process has been minimal and we are grateful for that. They have now become excellent students, play 2 instruments each, sing in choir, have a lead in a musical, play 3 sports each and are in student government & leadership groups. We are so proud of them & where they are heading in life. We are thankful to have them in our lives and look forward the future.
Hope you all are enjoying a blessed life as well.
12/07 Update: Our adoption process is complete for the 3 older girls. Their now 3yr old siblings have been adopted by a family who has had them now since birth. The twins have Hep. C and have health difficulties that they are in clinical trials in Dallas. Our little guy is almost 2 and I really couldn't imagine having 3 toddlers and 3 teenagers & driving to Stanford every month for clinical trials! I am satisfied with how it has all worked out. It is a blessing. The kids are now teenagers and keep very busy schedules which means Fess & I are wrapped up in basketball games, gymnastics, honors awards ceremonies, concerts, plays, you name it. We split and divide to cover all the bases while chasing after an active, funny, little guy. We wouldn't change a thing. Every day we invest in these girls is a day closer to their success. It's an exciting journey. Celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniv this yr and I think we will try to celebrate without kids. :)
