Tami's Story
Life
tamilwilson at gmail dot com writes....I graduated from the University of Florida in April 1994. I then joined the US Army in November 1995 and became a professional Spanish Linguist in August 1996. Subsequently, I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC (after more training) in March 1997. It was here where I met my husband (a helicopter pilot) and we were married on June 12, 1999. I separated from the Army in Nov 1999 and became a Loan Officer. That company was jerking me around with my manager training, so I took a step sideways and worked for a different bank in the loan department. I ended my relationship with all banking and went back to school (Indiana University) and obtained my Elementary education certification, as well as my English as a Second Language Certification and started teaching summer school in June 2007. I will start my first, full time, permanent ESL teaching position in Fall 2007!

If that wasn't a GGT party, I don't know what was. Boone's Farm would start the night and whatever was tapped would end it. So, I didn't have enough fun during college, I continued the partying at DLI thanks to the Army. Now, they gave us money to party with. What were they thinking? The challenge was to speak the foreign language while drunk in a coherent enough manner that the others could still comprehend what you were saying. Our instructors would tell us that we had truly learned the language if we were dreaming in the language. I think they had it wrong. If you could speak it while hammered, you have arrived. And, oh how everyone wanted to slam a few before the speaking part of the DLPT's....
