Tami's Story
Life's been good ... It's great and every day in every way it gets better and better:)
Class of 1980:
It is hard to believe that the 30 year reunion is now upon us. I did not make it to the last two reunions and regretfully so. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at The Canyon High School Beach Party Bash. Hope everyone will make it. I may or may not attend the 30 year reunion in Leona Valley at the Vinyards, although I would really like to ... We'll see.
Has it really been that many years?
I have spent the past 24 years getting indoctrinated and truly educated:
Three Doctorate's: Divinity (D.D.), Metaphysics (MsD), Philosophy/Religious Humanities (Ph.D)
Bachelor/Psychology, Associate of Science/Business Administration and Board Certification (AADP) as a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) in Energy Medicine, the medicine of the future. I graduated from GCNM with honors.
I plan to retire early from the educational field and work full time in Holistic Medicine. Things do not always go as planned ... but, in any case, that is the plan.
I have been in the educational field for the past 21 years, as an Eductor and Counselor.
In addition, I am currently practicing in my own Holistic Healing business part time.
I am currently developing Subtle Energy Essences for healing and have had much success with my clients in my chosen modality of Energetics. I am supported in my current developments through GCNM and happily so.
Before I married my husband, I was engaged to marry Mark St. John, guitar player of the legendary rock band, KISS. We were together for several years. He recorded and toured through out the world with KISS. Mark was famous for his violin concertos that he played on his guitar. Unfortunately, Mark's life ended early and tragically and he is missed by many, including me. He wrote an instumental for my daughter, January, in her youth, as a dedication. It was a violin concerto and was recorded before his death.
I was re-married 11 years ago to Michael Carroll, a Stock Broker and Musician. We have a son, Skyelar, who is 8 years of age.
I have 2 children, a daughter, January, 29 years of age, from my first marriage to Bob LeGault, Canyon High School Class of 1979, and a son, Skyelar, as mentioned above. Both of my children are very beautiful, artistic and musically inclined.
January is a Music Teacher at a private school and is the lead singer, guitar player and percussion in her own band. She is very talented. She has participated in several Time-Life albums. She has a very beautiful angelic voice. She is currently involved in the local Women's Club. She has two children, Lauren and Daniel, who are both artists and very intelligent. J...Expand for more
anuary's husband, Rick, works for NASA and is also a Musician, who plays guitar in January's band. They recently did a chairty concert raising several-hundred-thousand dollars for their favorite chairity, World Vision. Lauren, my granddaughter, just won the 2009 Scholastic Art Award for her painting, named "Reflection," which is a very unique and colorful 3D abstract. Lauren's true desire is to study and create Art now and in her future. Daniel, my grandson, is super intelligent and the next Einstein ... I swear. He is facinated with the monuments of the world. He is facinated with all things in space and time. Both of my grandchidren have received mention, yearly, on the Principal's Honor Roll since the inception of their education in a private school. They have never attended a public school.
Skyelar, my son, is actively involved in sports, (he is my big little linebacker) music, surfing and of course, skate boarding. He loves to draw. He is gifted in electronics. He takes after me in his love of Metaphysics and already has great understanding. He plays guitar and drums and has earned several Scholastic Achievement Awards, every year since his first year in Kindergarten. He attends a public school.
Needless to say, I am proud of my very gifted and talented children and grandchildren. When I look at them, I know the future is in safe hands.
We are all very blessed and very happy. We all love nothing more than hangin' on the beach and catchin' a wave with our family and close friends when we are not so busy with our daily lives and other interests.
While divorced from January's father, Bob, we all get on well together. Bob now lives in Kentucky and before that he lived in Ohio. He still loves those mountains. We make time for re-unions every now and again and have kept a healthy and happy relationship over the years between the families.
I hope all is well with each of you and that life is finding you in good health and happiness in every area of your lives.

PS: Laura (Smith) Bettencourt if you are reading this, CONGRATULATIONS on your election to your seat as City Council Woman ... Right On! You are the best woman for the job, every body knows that ... always so diligent in your efforts. Now ... let's do lunch ... have I got some NEWS for you Council Woman! ... are you ready? By the way, when you called at Christmas, I believe I was climbing Mt. Shasta ... would have liked to have seen you and Liz. Hope all is well with you and I hope to see you very soon, other than in the newspapers ... lol. I suppose I will have to participate in a council meeting where my voice can be heard :)... All is well.
