Tammy's Story
Life:
Those of you at KHS may remember me as the odd girl who likes Roger Rabbit. Yes, I still like Roger Rabbit, but not like I used to. Read on and you will find out why. Well, I'm 32, EXTREMELY HAPPILY married, I have one beautiful daughter, and I've been hoping to get in touch with my childhood friend as well as my friends from high school who made my childhood and teenage years bearable. I'm NOT here to rekindle an old relationship.
Here was my problem... I was in an abusive home and had a difficult childhood with two people who were babies themselves. My mother was 14 when she became pregnant and my father was 18... In other words, two stupid kids. Both of my parents were drug users, alcoholics, and were "swingers". I didn't have much of a childhood due to my knowledge of things that I should not have known when I was a kid. I dealt with all kinds of abuse, but seem to be pushing on with my life with a newfound respect for myself thanks to my new family (My husband, his mother, our daughter, and our animals). At times, I sink back into calling myself "Useless and stupid", but realize who's fault it really was. I now know that it wasn't my fault that I only have an IQ of 117 and slower than most people due to what my mom did during pregnancy (I've stayed clear of all those things during pregnancy, of course)... She used a bit of crystal meth and who knows what else. I'm not talking with the rest of my family because they were inactive and I don't talk to my parents either. Honestly, I wish I was adopted. I've learned from their mistakes and will NEVER repeat them for my daughter's sake! Roger Rabbit was an escape from the real world (which, as you can see... It wasn't rosy). I have put the rabbit away for good since I have no need for stuffed animal "security blankets". Those will go to my daughter when she's older.
Okay, the real reason why I'm here...
I'm looking for Amy Andrews, daughter of Donald Andrews, Sr. who lived next door to me on Beachcomber street in Clear Lake with her two brothers and one older sister. Amy also went to G.H. Whitcomb. As for my Klein High School list, I was looking for Heather Benson (1996) but I believe that I may have found her. I want to talk to my former teachers (they were more like parents to me). I've found my friend Kesha Rusk!!! Thanks to my former classmates in Theatre Arts for showing me compassion when I broke down after doing a monologue in Miss Ford's class. That's the very first time that I've ever been shown compassion by many of my fellow classmates. And again, thanks to my teachers for teaching me the difference between right and wrong (my parents were terrible at that as you can see).
Wh...Expand for more
en I first felt that I was in love... It was with my husband, Mr. Ritchie (that makes me Mrs. Ritchie). Before him, I didn't know what love really felt like. My husband made me feel like I had a future (and I most certainly do). Sure, I'm a housewife and mother but at least I'm happy with the path I have chosen for myself. I'm not under pressure in doing anything that I don't want to (I don't have anything that I don't want to do here!) and I choose my own schedule. I have hobbies (I'm starting to learn Origami from a book) and I have on-line friends that think I'm very nice and don't believe that I'm a shy person. I speak my mind now instead of cowering in the corner. My husband gives me this strength and encourages me in what I want to do. I don't want to drive but I will have to learn some day even though the people out there are loony (I see how people drive out there and it scares me). I don't have a driver's license yet. I much prefer motorcycles since I've learned how to drive a motor-scooter when I was 11 years old.
I'm a 24 addict. I've read the 24 Declassified books-The House Special Subcommittee's Findings at CTU, Operation Hellgate, Veto Power & Trojan Horse. I also watch Burn Notice, Monk, Psych, Eureka, CSI, House, and Stargate Atlantis). But my very first interest will always be #1... Listening to classic rock. I have also added Classical and bagpipes to my musical interest. I'm learning how to play my Yamaha keyboard now (I've learned a song but have yet to put right and left hand together to recreate the song in full). I've been occupied with the internet (Baby Center) and baby books to see how my daughter is developing each week. :)
School
Mrs. Holmes was Amy Andrews (I'm looking for her still) as well as my teacher back in 3rd grade at G.H. Whitcomb. Alison Frost was my theatre arts teacher in 9th and 11th grade (after Theatre Arts teacher Ken Pearl left) and Mrs. Ford was my theatre arts teacher in 10th grade.
Workplace
I'm a domestic domicile engineer, in other words I'm a housewife. I'm a mom too. :)
I was dabbling in fan fiction for Roger Rabbit (5 cartoons and a bio-type script) but since my imagination is no longer up to par and my interests have changed, I've been doing other things like reading, dealing with my yard with my husband (we own an acre) and cleaning up the house.
I still have the Honda and I'm going to sell it since I have no time to mess with it now.
I guess analyzing my quirks and past is a job in itself as well as working through them all by myself. I'll always be working on that... But at least I'm more at peace with myself than I've ever been. Taking care of my little night owl is a job too!! :D
