Tammy's Story
Okay, well my senior year I moved to northern WI and lived with my Dad and his new wife. I made it till Christmas break and had to leave there so I moved in with my grandparents in Oshkosh WI. I didn't know what I wanted to be so I told myself that I either had to be in school or travel. I did both. First I went to Trinidad & Tobago and then to Venezuala. I went to UWO for a year and then went to a vocational school in Milwaukee for Massage Therapy. Turns out I'm good at this and have a natural touch. Unfortunately I have not been practicing for awhile, funny how life keeps challenging you in so many ways and directions! Anyway, I lived in Oshkosh for about 16 years, then I moved to Sedona Arizona for almost 4 years and now I moved back to WI (crazy huh) in Eau Claire. In the mean time I have never married but I do have quite a nice almost 16 year old daughter. She is everything I was not when growing up, outgoing, brave, fun and busy.
As far as work goes, well that has been a varied and busy thing indeed. I often had more than one job, have had my own business, have held many positions much multi-tas...Expand for more
king (I was doing that before it became popular). I have worked in hotels, done banquets, housekeeping, cleaning, kitchen duty, waitstaff, office manager, department manager, school bus driver, drunk bus driver, (okay that sounds bad, but it's not. I worked for a person who has started a business here in Eau Claire that wanted to get drunk drivers off the road, so we would drive these old school busses painted blue and lights inside that would drive people from bars and events and parties to where they needed to be safely--and they could still drink)Those busses run from 9pm to 3-4am on weekends. Anyway, then I worked at a machine shop running a laser machine. Then I worked at a healthcare facility that had nursing homes, rehab and assisted living facilities. I was there for 9 years during which I became guardian of my grandmother and had her living with us. Then I went back to school bus driving and now I drive a truck delivering mail to rural pist offices. In the meantime, my daughter grew up, went to college and worked and ended up meeting someone from Germany and now they are married living in Germany.
