Tammy's Story
Life
Wow! Life has been busy since high school.
I moved to San Francisco, California right after high school. I live there for 6 months and decided to go to college at the University of Maryland College Park. I had the opportunity to intern at Cable News Network(CNN)and Black Entertainment Television (BET). I graduated in 1986 with a degree in Radio, Television and Film.
After I graduated, I moved back to California, wanting to make my mark on the world. (smile) Instead, I worked...Expand for more
at various places: Channel 9, AT&T, and Pacific Bell which is now Southwestern Bell.
In 1995, I moved back to Maryland. I started working for Verizon Wireless doing different jobs from customer service to legal work.
Presently, I work in the labor movement for the AFL-CIO in Washington DC. I've had the chance to meet many politicians: Barak Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry,and Nancy Puloski....
I reside in Maryland and I am working on graduate studies to become a teacher.
