Life I've been living in Windsor, Ontario Canada since 1989. I think it's great so far. The cost of living is very high but I feel much safer here. Can't beat the universal health care system. I do plan to move back to the States one day. When and where? Well .... nothing is carved in stone as of yet. I was leaning toward Arizona as a possible home in the near future. The climate is much more steady and predictable. In December of 1999 I had my first total knee replacement after several other knee surgeries and in May 2000 (yes ... only 5 months later) had the second knee replacement on my left knee. For those who really knew me this probably isn't a shock. I was Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at around 17 but had it for a couple years before that. It was a matter of walking or sitting in a wheel chair at that point (in 1999). Thank goodness for a wonderful Doctor with an open mind to allow me to have this surgery at such a young age. It has totally changed my perspective on life! I can honestly say that I have a new appreciation for the simple pleasures. I refuse to call or refer to myself as handicapped. I'm currently waiting for a bit more surgery in the near future to replace my knuckle joints and some foot surgery as well. It's a painful process but so is everything else in life .... yes? By the way, my babies have been just as life changing. I'm still waiting for it all to hit me. Thank goodnes...Expand for more
