Tammy's Story

Life Hi everyone, I'm still in the Bay Area, I have been married for 17 years, and have 2 kids. My daughter is 16 and my son is 11. I was a full-time mom for a few years, and then returned to college. After a 9 year break from college I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree June,2002. I went on to get my teaching credential and Masters Degree in Education and I am in my fourth year of teaching third grade. Please email me, I would like to hear from you! School I remember as far back as Reed School. John Muir was good times with Amy, Cathy, ...the things we did... School was not our priority, even at Pioneer. I hung out with Charlotte a lot, she drove me everywhere..never complained. High School was so fun. I had a lot of good teachers (I didn't think so then)..and good friends. College I went to SAn Jose City College right after high school and received my AA Degree. I then went to San Jose State to receive my teaching credential. This is when I me...Expand for more
t my husband, we got married..money became an issue and I quit school. I knew I would go back someday. We bought our house, had our second child and I was a full-time mom for 5 years..which was great! When our son could go to preschool, I went back to college and got my BA Degree from Hayward. I still really wanted to be a teacher, so I enrolled at the Univ. of Phoenix and received my teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education. It was a long haul (especially at my age :) but so worth it! Workplace During high school I worked for an answering service, fun times! I also worked for O'Connor Hospital as a secretary. I got a job in Accounts Payable and remained in that field for a few years. When we bought our house in 1996, I quit to stay home with our daughter. After I received my BA Degree, I was a substitute teacher for 2 years, and then an Instructional Aide in Special Education. I am now a third grade teacher in Brentwood..and love it!
