Tammy's Story
Life
How our lives change! Seems like yesterday I was writing a story about my kids on here and as I read it today, looks as if about 6 years have passed - and quickly they have. My kids are ages 33, 28, and 23 now. I have 2 grandchildren grandson Alex who is 7 and granddaughter Mel who is 2. All in all, life is good. Have moved back to the home I grew up in and am in a good place. Due to many health problems plus having to be on oxygen, I no longer work, but am enjoying the days as they are. I enjoy so much the grandkids and when they visit it is always a treat. My cats are the best but even they are aging. My Snowshoe kitty is going into her 15th year and Stormy the black cat is going into her 12th. Last November, I lost my best friend Cashmere, my black lab. She was almost 12. In November of of 2011, I lost Jenny - the bes...Expand for more
t Lab-Chow ever, who was also aging and almost 15. Animals have always been my favorite people so it is been a rough many months. All have been rescues, so I am sure I will rescue again. That is the thing to do. They are always so grateful and so many need good loving homes. Well, that's basically it. Life is good!
Sadly, again, I am dealing with the loss of my Snowshoe Sam. She was by my side all those many years and I tried so hard to help her. Though she was blind and had some other health issues, she had a very happy home and I think she enjoyed her years with me as much as I enjoyed, loved and appreciated her. That little body was so tired and on May 18 I lost her. This overwhelming sadness of losing 3 girls in 1-1/2 years is almost unbearable. Life is still good, but it's landscape is changing in such a painful way.
