Tamara's Story
Life
After graduation, I went off to UK (for awhile) and ended up in dental school. I graduated in 1997, did a one year residency, worked in South Carolina for three years while Tom completed his residency in Internal Medicine, and then moved back to Kentucky. We had planned on settling in Lexington, but as it works out the best job offers for Tom were in Eastern Kentucky. So, we both work in the "metropolis" of Hazard, KY.

. Who is getting up there and mostly prefers to sleep on the sofa now.
Our life changed for the better when our daughter arrived on January 22, 2001. Her name is Eleni Britt Karelis. It has been so great, that we added a sister to the mix on September 27, 2005. Zoe Kathryn keeps Eleni on her toes. Life is sweet with our two girls.
