Tammy's Story
Life
Hi, Everybody!
After graduating from DCHS, I got my B.S. in Computer Science graduating from TTU in December of 1985! (Can you believe how quickly time flies!?!)
Since then I've worked in the Software Development/Testing community for several different companies: Texas Instruments; Siemens; WonderWare; and OSIsoft. All the while, I've lived in Johnson City, TN where I am still located.
I was blessed to marry a wonderful Christian man, Steve Williams, in June 1990 and we are very happy. To add to our joy, our daughter, Brenna, made her arrival in October of 1997. (Yes! I waited till I was an old fogey to start having children.) Brenna is our one and only and she is such a delight! (and a challenge!!) Oh, we did recently (May 2006) add two kittens to the mix. That has been an interesting change for our household.
Steve and I celebrated our fifteenth wedding anniversary with a cruise. What fun!! If you've not had opportunity to take a cruise, I would suggest you plan one. We went with friends who were celebrating their 10th and we all had a grand time!
I am very active in my church home, Centra...Expand for more
l Church of Christ, and have been involved from time to time in the local community theater - musicals mainly.
I always thought I would study for a graduate degree. However, every time I think about it seriously, I start having recurring nightmares about missed classes and missed finals. Yuck!! So far, my motivation to earn the degree has not overshadowed the fear brought on by the nightmares!!! Who knows if it ever will?!?! One more thought on degrees, if i ever do choose to go back, I think I'll explore something along the lines of creative writing or drama.
At this point in my life, I am satisfied (mostly) with the decisions I have made and the place to where God has led me. Like most people, I have achieved some of the goals I had hoped to achieve and have missed to mark on others.
Right now, I look forward to seeing my little girl grow into a confidant young woman (as slowly as possible please); continuing to nurture my marriage (till death do up part, hopefully); and, continuing to make and achieve new goals (seeing where life and God takes me).
God Bless,
Tammy Cripps Williams
