Tanis's Story
In chronological order: After graduating from Northern, I moved to London and remained in that area for approx. 16 years. While in London I worked on Front Desk at the Holiday Inn downtown; bartended at a number of clubs & restaurants; taught bartending at 2 private Career Schools; managed a nightclub; managed a Spa; worked as a Travel Agent; worked for Air Canada; co-owned a Harley-Davidson dealership for 11 years with my then-husband, and got divorced.
Upon returning to Sarnia, I managed my family's Motel for 5 years; was Director of Promotions for Sarnia's 3 radio stations (my first project was the launch of K106.3); and managed a Maternity store until giving birth to my youngest son.
Activities, in no particular order: Over the years I enjoy (or have enjoyed) water-skiing; horseback riding; motorcycling; drag racing; whitewater rafting; downhill skiing; bungey jumping; skydiving; scuba divin...Expand for more

Though I live a much "calmer" life now, I guess I could best be described as someone who loves a thrill; doesn't like to sit still for long; a people-person.
My greatest accomplishment in life has been marrying my husband - Glen, and raising three wonderful boys. I stopped jumping out of planes and motorcycling across the continent when my mortality became a priority for the sake of those I love. As soon as my boys are grown and on their own though, you can bet I'll be shopping for my next bike so that my husband and I can hit the road!
Some of my fondest memories of school days were playing euchre in the cafeteria (especially once we got the jukebox!); going to the football games; playing basketball; cruisin' Canatara; and spending the summers on the water - skiing, from dawn till dusk! Oh, and the beach parties - the greatest part of growing up in Sarnia!
