Tanya's Story
Life
I'm happily married since 1986, have 3 children and 2, cats. I still enjoy singing, and up until 2003, had been an adult ballet student turned teacher. In 2003 we moved back to Washington State and it has been the best move/decision of our lives. Since our kids are all grown now, I've been refocusing my attention to education and music. I'm in a cover band called "Little Hurricane" based out of North Bend, Washington, featuring an eclectic mix of music from the 60's 70's 80's 90's and some recent hits. We play in bars, coffee shops, clubs and outdoor events. Also, I have been guesting with a couple of cover bands - The Kingdogs and Trailer Park Kings. in spiritual formation and direction (which are fancy words for Christian education & discipleship) and now am an independent Spiritual Director with Journey Partners, LLC. I do a little vocal coaching on the side for aspiring vocalists. On the education side, I am pursuing a MDiv at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and hope to be finished with it by 2019 and am currently in a certification process for spiritual direction with SoulFormation where I am interning Fall of 2015-Summer of 2016.
School
Things I liked were, Honor's English and all of the Choirs in spite of the director change after freshman year. My contacts with classmates since leaving high school have all been positive. My life now is very good and I am thankful for it!
