Tanya's Story
Life
Well I haven't moved far from home. I still reside here in the Black Hills. I have worked as a nurse for the past 13 years which has had its ups and downs. I finally decided it was time for a career change and returned to college. I graduate in May, 2007 with an Associates of Science in Business Adminstration and a Bachelors of Science in Management Information Technology. However, I apparantely have decided that I have not been in school for enough years of my life and will be returning in July to begin working on my MBA.
I am divorced and have three beautiful children ranging in age from 4 to 15. They keep me busy with gymnastics, dance, Tae Kwon Do and whatever else strikes them as being entertaining at the moment. We get the pleasure of traveling a great deal with my daughter Ariana's gymnastics. I always loved to travel; however, I am not so sure I wanted to travel almost every weekend from January through April! But I can't complain because it ...Expand for more
keeps her out of trouble. Anyway that is about as exciting as my life is.
College
College days? LOL They are not over yet. I am a self proclaimed career student mostly because, even at this age, I still can't decide what I want to be when I grow up. I guess life just offers so many exciting choices that I need to explore them all. First I became a nurse then began back to school shortly thereafter with the intent on becoming a doctor. I was double majoring in Bio and Chem when, with a year and a half of that left, I decided hey I hate the medical field what am I doing. I then spent a few years randomly taking classes until a couple years ago I settled on Management information systems and then happened to stumble on to business. I now hold an associate of science degree in Business Administration and a bachelor of science degree in Management Information Systems. I return in July of this year (2007) to begin working on my MBA which should take me about 18 months.
