Life
Retired the end of Sept 2015. Yahoo. Started off living with my oldest daughter, Tanya and her husband Mike. So was in Plainville, Ct. After about 2 1/2 years or 3 I got into senior housing in Middlebury Ct not far from my younger daughter. Tanya's son (my grandson) Alex, is now 29 and after serving in the US Army 4 years (he joined when he was 22) and winding up at Ft. Bragg when he left the service he decided to stay in NC and my daughter and her husband moved there. My grandson has now purchased his own home down there. We were happy to see him married to Chelsey when he was still in S.Korea. They married when he was on leave. Gabriella and Santino, are not far away in Watertown, Ct and I was doing some babysitting for them. Unfortunately my son-in-law passed away from cancer March last year 2023. He put up a good fight for 6 1/2 years. He went through operations and chemo but when he was diagnosed it had already metastasized to his liver. My grandson turned 16 this Aug and my granddaughter turned 13 in May this year. I have been helping my daughter as much as I can.
Am enjoying doing my genealogy and even had my DNA done, which has brought to an end a family mystery and the meeting of relatives that were unknown to me. Enjoy visiting family and friends, both near and far. So far this new chapter in my life has been keeping me busy.
