Tanya's Story
Life
Well I'm finally done with college! It's taken seven years and three degrees, but i think it's finally time for a break from studying. Or so it would seem. After undergrad at University of Illinois and College of Charleston, I decided to give law school a shot. After deciding that that wasn't for me, I decided to get my paralegal degree instead and also ended up geting my MBA at the same time. I just finished my MBA in March, and will officially graduate in June! Now i'm living in Cincinnati, OH, and working as a financial aid officer at the Cincinnati campus of Brown Mackie College. I'm really been enjoying the job, helping the students, and hanging out with my co-workers. Only time will tell where i'll go from here, but hopefully i'll get to stay in one place for a little while before life calls me on to the next stage.

It's hard to believe how fast the years have flown by. it seems like only yesterday I was back at LTHS, and starting to think about college. But as much as there were parts ...Expand for more
of HS that I didn't like, i'm soo glad that i had those four years, and got to experience what I did. I'm finding out now, that my years there really had a big part in shaping who I am today, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
College
I have so many great memories of undergrad!! my favorite times at University of Illinois included hanging out with my Angel sisters, 3:00 am parties at the front desk of Busey/Evans dorm, and hanging out with Beth and the rest of the crew. For College of Charleston, my best memories came from the classes I got to take, and our activities as a class, including going out for drinks with some of the kids in my African Wars class and our professor. My favorite memories from grad school also seem to revolve around going out with classmates but a lot also revolve around the family that I found myself becoming a part of through my church. I'm so grateful to them, because they have helping me through some incredibly hard times and I've become a stronger person because of them.
