Tara's Story
Life
Well, I guess this is where I tell you if I've accomplished my dreams and where I'm headed huh? Well, I accomplished the first one. Graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology. Number two was meeting the man of my dreams and I'm positive I've done that one. Number three is getting the hell up out of Southern Illinois. I want to end up in Georgia or Florida working with children in a counseling or youth development-type role. I'm still in the area and working with children in a counseling setting. I'm still working on getting out of here. For now, I am so very happy with where I am in my life right now. I can only hope that my old friends are too. :P
School
I don't think I would want to do high school over again. College was the time of MY life.
College
KC was the best time of my life. I hooked back up with my friends from Carlyle and we partied anywhere and everywhere. One of the most notorious spots was Jondro's Clubhouse. Wow! So many crazy things happened there. I could've stayed in those two years of my life for a little longer than I was given but I finished my Associates and it was time to move on. I moved to Carbondale and finished my last two y...Expand for more
ears and my B.A.. Believe it or not, I didn't party much when I was down there. I came home to do all that with my friends from Carlyle. At SIUC I had a roommate who was from Chicago and now I hate everyone with that accent. I stayed in Carbondale for a year after I finished my degree while I was deciding on where I wanted to go. I decided to move back home and get a real job...
Workplace
My work life has progressed into exactly what I went to school for. Amazing but I work with children in a residential setting. I actually act as a parent everyday I go to work and the kids are so interesting. A happy bunny shirt I have spells it out perfectly. It has a bunny in a straightjacket and it says: "Crazy but cute, things even out." I deal with major psychological disorders(for example: schizophrenia) on a daily basis and I love it.
Military
Well, while I was at KC I filled out almost all of the necessary paperwork to join the reserves with my friend Angel but one night decided that I was supposed to take a different road and that's what I did. Since then I've dated a few people in the military :) and I've seen some action ;) but I've never worn the uniform, YET. ;)
