Tasha's Story
Life
After High School I went to college for awhile. Shortly there after I married a marine and moved to South Carolina to live where his family inherited land. Unfortunately after 3 years we decided to go our seperate ways. I then returned home and worked as a school photographer for about 2 years until I met my second husband - Lawrence Jones. After a few dates we realized we had met on several brief encounters during our high school days(he ran track/played football for Canyon Springs). After strong hints and encouragement from friends, family and one year of intense dating we married on June 3rd, 2000. To help jump start my husbands music career we moved to Virginia where his family lived. Within 4 years we both excelled in the music industry collaborating with several upcoming artists and producers as well as working on our own CD's. We are still partners in working on producing our music but the marriage part has slipped away. So here I am starting over again for the third time trying to find my purpose in life. It has been an interesting journey and all I can say is God is not thru with me yet. Ive been traveling across the east coast but havent found a place I want to call home just yet. Since I havent been blessed with children of my own I do my best to assist my younger sister with her two little ones whenever I visit. I may not be getting any younger but Im still full of life and hopefully I can spread the joy I have inside to all I meet. God bless you all...
School
What can I say...Ramona is my family's legacy. My father, uncle, 2 aunts, sister, and a slew of cousins have all attended and graduated from here. We have all pretty much taken the same classes, played sports or sung in the choir. I do believe I was the first and only cheer...Expand for more
leader though. To be honest I really didn't care to much for high school. I had very little friends , but it was hard to tell since I knew so many people or they knew of me. I was very shy except when it came to the football games (my favorite sport)which with my big mouth made my presence known. Between choir, cheerleading and track I kept myself pretty busy during school. Graduation Day is still a blur. I think we gave the principal peanuts? Still don't know why....
College
There's not much to say really. RCC or as most people put it - Ramona Continuation College - was home to me. I hung out with majority of the guys on the football, basketball and track teams. It was like having an extended family of older brothers who looked after me. Without them I would have never made it thru college with a smile on my face. I took classes on and off for a few years, but eventually stopped going when I married a marine and moved to South Carolina.
Workplace
All of my jobs have been dealing with the public. I guess you can say Im a people person. Over the years I have learned great patience with dealing with different mood swings of others and in retrospect it has helped me excell in all my endevors. My previous job was with a company called Airlines Reporting Corporation. We helped travel agents distribute their sales to most carriers. I mainly helped them prepare, adjust, and reconcile their sales reports. The software we used could be tricky at times due to new enhancements implimented on a monthly basis, but I found it to be challenging and fun. Im currently working for a Marriott Residence Inn as an Admin Assistant in Va. Its a fairly cool job to have and hopefully I will excel to a higher position in good time. In conclusion, I Love My Job!!!!
