Tasha's Story
Life
Married September 19, 2000. We had met through Katy Glass's older sister, Leah, online...wierd, huh? At the time, Lorna was 4 months old. We've been together for 20 yrs now.
My husband, Juan, was in the U.S. Army. He was sent to Iraq shortly after we moved into our housing quarters at Ft. Riley, Ks in June of 2004. After less than 3 months of being there, he was injured by 2 mortar rounds that landed nearby doing humanitarian guard duty outside a building where the Iraqi civilians can get aid (i.e. food, water..) The day before he and I had a bad feeling, that sick feeling when you know something bad is about to happen. Luckily the shrapnel that injured him was mainly all small bits.

hter Lorna is 20 now. For those that know, I had her my senior year after I moved to Midlothian. She was born Feb. 22, 1999 weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 18 1/2 ft long. Her biological father and his family are not around by their choice, which, in my opinion is sad and they don't know what they're missing. Not sure how many know who he is, but I know those I kept close contact with and a few others do.
My husband and I had a little girl that weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 1/4 in; she was born September 25, 2001. We named her Jade. She's my second child and is almost 18.
I'm also trying to contact Conrad Pondrom and would love to talk to old friends. If anyone wants to talk, I have a Facebook page.
