Taunia's Story
Life
I have been married to Tom Higgins since 1998. We have been together since the fall of 1992. We have two children. Justin was born in 1999 and Samantha in 2002. They are great, but a handfull. We also, have a golden retiever named Chip. We own a house in Howard Lake. We spend alot of time at the lake from ice fishing to swimming.
School
I enjoyed choir the most during school. I thought that Mr.B was the coolest teacher and made class alot of fun. Being in the JB's, he was the teacher that I spent the most time around. He and Mrs. B attended my wedding and I have seen him a few other times around Bloomington since then. Some of my favorite memories were on the spring break trips to Texas, Hawaii, and the Bahamas.
College
I went to St. Cloud State and had alot of good memories. I lived in the dorms for a couple of years and then into some houses. I remember one house had a fire during homecomi...Expand for more
ng weekend. Jeff Splatt lived next door and was standing on his porch yelling "Fire,fire!", just like Beavis and Butthead. It was funny in a stressful time. I lived in a sorority house with ten other girls, which had its ups and downs. It was always the place to be but, girls can be catty too. I remember parties and missions to t.p. or steal things from the frats. I did also go to class-I majored in Mass Communications in Advertising. I liked the major but it was quite hard to get into the classes because it was popular.
Workplace
I have been working as a waitress\bartender at Lake Center Bar & Grill in Annandale since 1999. It's not what I went to school for, but I enjoy it most of the time. The bar is a popular and located in the middle of a bunch of lakes(hence the name) so there are alot of cabin people during the summer. I enjoy the weekends because we have entertainment every Friday and Saturday.
