Ted's Story
Graduating from BCI in 1965, I spent the better part of my first year out working at the Alcan smelter in Kitimat, B.C. I began my quest for an Education degree in 1966. Diane Owen and I married in 1968 and we lived in Marsden for a couple of years where I began my teaching career and we began a family, a boy, Vince, and a girl, Lori. I returned to university to finish my degree and in l972 graduated and obtained a teaching position in Swift Current. In 1976, Diane was diagnosed with a terminal illness and 1977 found us returning to the Battlefords to be near family. Diane passed away in 1980.

d remained there until I retired in 1999 ( I actually took over for Hoosh when he retired). In 1982, Barbara Woodall entered our lives as my wife and stepmother to my children.
My son works at a fish hatchery for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Kitimat, B.C. He lives there with his wife Angie and three daughters. Daughter Lori followed the Sealy tradition and became a teacher. She works in Leduc, Alberta and lives with husband Dwayne and their son and daughter.
Barbara and I enjoy retirement from our teaching careers - golfing and visiting family in B.C., Alberta and England. Vi Sealy, who taught many alumni, retired in 1976 and passed away in 1999 at age 91.
