Ted's Story
Life
After eighteen years of doing the #1 night time radio show in Southern California on KOST 103.5FM, I spent the next five years doing the morning show and midday show on two other L.A. radio stations. Then, I was back on KOST every weekend (Saturday & Sunday 7p-midnight PDT), doing the dedication and listener call-in show titled "Lovesongs On The KOST" from 2006 until mid-2009. In January of 2010, I returned to KOST for my third time, where I filled in as needed - before retiring in January 2020. In addition to my daily radio shows, I've also hosted a syndicated version of the Love Songs show (heard in cities across the U.S.) each Saturday night. enplay (like everyone else in Hollywood). I took writing classes at UCLA from an award winning writer. So, you can watch for my name someday during the movie credits. My instructor's other writing students have written scripts for the movies "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Gorillas In The Mist", "Mask" and more.
I was the 2003 recipient of the Schuller Award from the Crystal Cathedral, given to a person in the entertainment business responsible for being a positive influence on Southern California's young people. Previous winners have included the late TV host Steve Allen, former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda, Dr. Phil, Kathy Ireland and Dr. Laura. So, it was quite a thrill.
I've been married (43 years) and live with my wife, April in Orange County, California. My three sons and their families live nearby. We have five grandchildren. I'd love to hear from you and hope to see you at our next reunion!
