Tera's Story
Life
I'm not going to write about my entire life, but catch everyone up on what's been happening since I graduated from OHS. After graduation I went on to college that Fall at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. I completed my first year at WIU, but ran into a small problem...finances. Since I made the brillant decision to pick an out of state school, the tuition and fees were a little more than I expected. I was desperately looking for some way to stay in school, when one day after my BIO Lab a National Guard Recruiter approached me in my dorm. loyed along with Task Force 90th Personnel Services Battalion, to Baghdad and Balad Iraq. I can't really sum up what a year deployed in a war torn country is like in just these couple of paragraphs, but it was a learning, and sometimes very difficult, experience...but we all made it back home. Currently, I'll be finishing up my tour here in Germany this January, which I will be sad to end, Europe is beautiful-I've seen things I never thought I would see. My next duty station will be Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and a year after that I will be out of the Army. I'm taking classes with the University of Maryland right now, and should be close to finishing up my Bachelor's when I get out of the Army. I plan on finishing up school when I'm out, probably somewhere in Florida.
