Teresa's Story
Life
Well, I guess I should start with how shy I was in school. I definitely wasn't pretty so I didn't date much. I had a few close friends, but mostly I skipped school. I passed anyway but dropped out after the first semester of 12th grade. Dumb huh? I ran away from home to live on an army base in Kentucky for a couple of years and then I came back home to live in Hillsborough County and got married at 19. I had 2 boys and a girl. I was married for 16 years and then divorced (I should have done that after 2 years!). I was living in Pasco County and met the man of my dreams. We were together for almost 11 years when cancer stole him from me last March. We were in construction and had our own business. I couldn't continue doing that because he was the brains and I was the brawns! I started doing maintenance work for a big company and started my own business mowing lawns. I guess you could say that I am surviving. I miss my boyfriend very much and I have alot of good friends who have helped me to cope. School
I'm afraid my life bio from school wouldn't be very interesting to read. Now if you wanted to hear about my life after school! I wasn't popular, pretty or petite! My biggest crush was for a boy named Joe Gagliardo. I always had a thing for Italians! But he certainly never noticed me. The only way I would do it over again, is to look like I do now(well, maybe 10 years ago!) and know what I know now. The funnest part of school for me was walking to and from. I hope I'm not coming across as a loser. Believe me, I wanted to participate and have fun like everyone else, but my parents were very strict and we weren't allowed to join any clubs or special classes, and also it was hard for me in school because I have a lazy eye and was shy because kids made fun of me. But in the long run, that all prepared me for life. I learned to be tough when I needed to be, while still being the kind, caring person that I feel that I am. Today, I have many friends and a very full active life. Would I want to do it all over again you ask? HELL NO!
