Teri's Story

Life Married Daniel Ellis 3/14/98. I have 4 kids - one baby girl, 2 dogs and a husband! LOL... I have been on 4 cruises and we plan on a cruise to the Mediterranean Sea in the next year. I have found a creative outlet other than writing that I enjoy very much, which is paper mache art, and I have become addicted to it. I love to read, go horseback riding, hike, and workout. I find myself very happy with my life right now. School Check me out on myspace.com/satnik, my ID is BljnLvr. Well, what can I say here? Obviously, the people reading this were most likely my fellow classmates, so I guess I should keep the really embarrassing moments to myself about others (grin!). However, let's see...my biggest crush that no one but Melody knew about, and she so agreed with me was Lee. We used to spy him driving the Napa truck all the time around town, and we thought he was the most gorgeous guy! My other crush was Jeff, and I think subconciously I always intended to "put our heads together" in Westburg's Soph English everyday on purpose! Sorry about the bruises, Jeff! Teachers...gosh, they all stand out in my mind still. Of course, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Gaer and Frau Schneider had the biggest impacts in my life, personally besides just academically. Moments that stand out: The day in Soph Biology we all "hid" from Mr. Weitz across the hall in the staff lounge. The day Keith Jewett passed away at Homecoming. The Berlin Wall in German class (and the day the Wall fell in real life my Senior year). The day we got Jonas to shave off his beard for a "shaving commercial" in drama class. Other moments that stand out are past relationships, school activities, like the football and basketball games, dances, etc. Overall, I'd rate my school ...Expand for more
experience pretty good. I found out over the years that I had more friends than I thought I did at the time, and I wish I hadn't been so caught up in myself to lose other friends, but I think most of us were like that at that age. I miss a lot of you, and wish I could get into contact with you, which is why I'm here! So write me, I'd love to hear from you! College I just graduated from California State University Sacramento in December 2005 with my BA in Liberal Studies. I'm currently taking off a year before I return to get my teaching credential. I plan on teaching upper elementary or middle school. Workplace My last job before I got pregnangt was as a teacher at a school for emotionally and behaviorally challenged students. This was my first job as a teacher, and I was surprised to get hired on, even though I'm still working on my credential. This job is very challenging, but I found that I absolutely LOVE it! I don't even feel like I'm working! It's so nice to find out that my dream of teaching turned out even better than I thought it would. There are days when the kids can be very "active" and "testing", but it makes the job more challenging and creative to try to connect with the students when they don't want to be there. My original intent when I started on this career path was to teach in an upper elementary school. Over the years, I found that I enjoyed working with teenagers, and so now, I work with students from 6th to 12th grade. Interesting how things can change! Now, though, I am an at-home mom, but I am an independent travel agent and a day trader and am doing well at both. I specialize in cruises, with river cruises as my niche.
