Teresa's Story
Life
I attended Line Street Elementary, I remember Mrs. Swartzmiller as my 1st Grade teacher. Theresa Seeley was my friend. We built a new home in New Lothrop. I began school there in the 5th grade. My first friend was Carmen Brown and Diane Richardson. I lettered in Track and was nominated to the Homecoming Court. My best friend in High School was Bruce Schneider. I became a Sports Director for Military Sports in Germany from 1983-1986. I attended Basic Training in 1996 for the USAF at Lackland AFB Texas. In Sept. 1996 I was assigned to Tinker AFB, Oklahoma as a Security Police Officer. I was assigned to the Elite Gate Guard, and was a member of The Emergency Response Team. I Played 3rd base on the Women's Air Force Softball team. We travled to many military bases in the US. In 1989 I was assigned to be the Mobility Unit NCO assistant. Indiana where we now live. I became an AF Reservist at O'Hare AF Base in 1990. I was activated during Desert Storm and Shield as a Urban & Ground Combat Instructor for the Federal Government. I was mobilized to Southern Texas and Strickland Royal AFB base in England. I attended Purdue University, and am now working for Bethlehem Steel Corp now called Arcelor Mittal Steel as a Service Technician and Operator on the Galvanized Coating Line for Automovtive products.
Steve and I have two children together Stephen Jr. who is 16 and Tayla who is 11. Steve and I divorced in 2005 and I recently remarried. My new husband 1st Sergeant Gene Ray is from Kewanna Indiana and was employed with Culver Military Academies but has been activated to full time military duty in the Army and will be leaving for Afganahstan in February.
I have one more science class to take to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management so I will keep myself busy with that while my husband is away.
