College
College was a dream come true for me, and although it came late (I was 28 when I graduated the first time, 36 when I graduated the second time, 40 when I graduated the third time, and 47 when I graduated in December,2012), I thank God that He allowed me to obtain it. It was hard because I worked full-time the whole time. I thank God it was late because I would not have appreciated it when I was younger. I thank God for ...Expand for more
tenacity and determination in the face of adversity, and for knowledge that I could never put a dollar value on. I am the holder of two Bachelor Degrees: History and Elementary Education, and two Master's Degrees: Curriculum and Instruction (Reading K-12). To God Be The Glory for all of the things He has done!!!!!
Workplace
I was an Adjunct Instructor of American History at Piedmont Community College in Roxboro, NC, and I am a Reading Interventionist at Bonner Middle School in Danville, VA. I began my educational career in 1997. It has been my life's dream, and I take the education of our youth very seriously. The education of our youth is imperative, and I am constantly reading, studying, and thinking of new and innovative ways of motivating children to live up to their full potential. To whom much is given, much is required, and I believe that God gave me a gift to inspire and facilitate the education of inner-city youth. To God be the Glory!!!
