Teri's Story
Life
I have been married for 20 years and have 3 kids. My husband's name is Randy and I am blessed to have him in my life. He is an electrician at Fibre.
Our oldest, Josh, is 25 years old (he's really my step son, but I claim him for mine). He is living in Salem and working full time. We have an 19 year old daughter, Kasia, who is attending college in preparation for nursing school. We also have a 17 year old daughter, Liana, who is a Senior at KHS. She at this time is interested in a Fire fighting/paramedic career.
I work for the Kelso School District, first as a substitute instructional assistant. I then got hired at Carrolls elementary followed by Coweeman Middle school where I am still employed.
We attend the same church that I grew up in. Kelso First Assembly of God. I enjoy singing on the worship team part of the time. I also do some volunteering at the "emergency support shelter". That is hard sometimes but I am glad I got involved. it's rewarding to see lives changing for the better. I get to work mostly with the kids when I volunteer.
my husband and I had owned a home in the Aldercrest area when it was declared a national disaster...Expand for more
. it was a difficult time BUT, nobody was hurt and it all worked out ok. We found a house with a bigger yard and the kids didn't have to change school districts. this one was even closer to their schools which makes it much easier when they are involved with after school activities. We have lived in this home for about 10 years now.
We've had 3 dogs during our marriage. the first one was a mixed breed from the shelter. a naughty little dog named Cody. following Cody we got a Sharpei/lab mix. She was the SWEETEST dog. We were all sad when we had to have her put to sleep after about 12 1/2 years. last year we got a pug puppy. Her name is Kadie McKiller and she's a lot of fun. scared of everything but fun! We are getting another one in the next couple weeks: a boy pug puppy that we have yet to agree on a name for. this WILL be the last puppy in this household. I promised Randy I would stop looking at them, lol.
we have had a few other critters off and on that the kids had for pets: goldfish, beta, hamsters and a couple guinea pigs at different times. I'm not so big on the critter pets but the kids enjoyed having them.
