Terisa's Story
Hey everybody out there. Just me, Terisa. A girl from Philly that got transplanted to NC when I was 14, just out of ninth grade. From Wagner Jr. High in Ms Eslow's home room to Ruffin High 14 miles from the town I lived in (Reidsville). Had great friends in both schools. I always said I would not stay anywhere too long, but that didn't work out. I have traveled but most of it was with my second husband (man of my dreams) of 30 yrs. I have been to Alaska, Mexico, The Bahamas,California,Tenneessee,Alalbama,Las Vegas, Arizona,Texas, and up and down the Eastern seaboard. I retired from being The Head Customer Service Manager from Wal-Mart #814. I had many jobs before that, but those that know me knows I like numbers better than most so retail & accounting has been most of my life. I have been blessed to have several very close friends in my life. Two died just recently and I reailize how important true friends are. One was in Fl the other in CA. I still keep in touch with my very FIRST friend from Philly. Computers are great. We were born two houses apart & grew up for the first 14 years of our lives either Best of friends or worse of eneimies. But we still love each other like sisters. slow from my 9th grade class as she is the one that told me I was wasting my time with general math I should push myself more. Thank you Ms. Eslow, wherever you are, for the good advise. I would also love to see some of the old members of the Haines st. gang or the Norwood Ave bunch too. I remember in our "last will & testament" at high school they had me will my long hair and short skirts to "anyone who had the nerve to wear them". I still have the long hair but the skirts got a little longer as the age is adding up. Our 40th class reunion is coming up & would love to be contacted & let known when it will be. Hope we haven't lost too many more of the class. I guess I should say that I had one daughter & my husband had a daughter when we got together. They blessed (or cursed) us with 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. ages 16, 15, 14, 13, 11. Thank God they gave us a one year breather. I own a beautiful house on 2 acres. I also own other properties in the town I live in. I love to watch "Biggest Losser". I have such admiration for those people. I think anyone that can go through what they do deserves recongnition. Other than that I occassionally watch CSI. But mostly listen to music or read (when I can find the time). Still love motorcycles & the beach. Hope to hear from anybody that still remembers me. Terisa
