Terisa's Story
Since high school: I had a daughter, Angel-Maye Marie Reinholtz (born, baby girl Reinholtz, on Friday, 13 August 1982. Her name was changed to Briana S. McDonald). I gave her up for adoption (yes, I was pregnant during my Senior year & missed the prom) to a wonderful couple (Delwyn & Barbara McDonald) who were unable to have their own children. Her birth father is David Dean Erler of Chula Vista, CA. I am very Proud of Briana Maciulla. She is a hard working vet tech, and now has a wonderful family, and has given me a grandson, Donovan Nicholas Maciulla. After I gave Briana up to her new parents, I met (over the phone & later in person) & married a US Coast Guardsman (Ricky Wayne Davidson) on Saturday, 02 February 1985 in San Diego, CA. We trekked on over to Yorktown, VA. where Ricky received his training to become an Electrical Engineer and Lighthouse technician for the USCG. Our First assignment was at the Coast Guard Base in New Orleans, LA (NOLA). We were there for 5 1/2 years, and lived in Slidell, LA. During that time we also had our daughter, Krystle Victoria, born at Tulane Hospital on Thursday, 11 December 1986 at 6:10 am. Krystle just had her first child (my first granddaughter, and Krystle's only child due to complications, a little girl, Calliope Ruby Kennedy) born 24 November 2019. In May of 1992, we moved down to Port Sulphur, LA where Ricky took his next assignment, ANT Team Venice. Here he became a lighthouse tech, as well as an electrician's mate second class. We had our second child, Amber Lynn, born at Tulane Hospital (19 minutes after I entered the hospital) on Wednesday, 19 August 1992 at 1:49 pm. (I was the fastest ambulatory walk-in). Amber met & married Henry Powell, who passed away after 5 years of marriage. A week after Amber's birth, hurricane Andrew hit our city, evacuating us to Baton Rouge, LA where it did hit. We moved, 11 November 1992 to go to USCG Station San Diego, CA. We lived in San Diego for 4 years (2 assignments: 1 land and 1 sea unit), and then moved back to Buras, LA (USCG ANT Venice) for 20 months. We would have our first and only Son, Ricky Wayne Davidson, Jr., who would also be our last child. My husband was attacked whil...Expand for more
e we lived down there and so, we moved to our next assignment (USCG Base Boston, MA). While at Boston, MA we would meet new people and have new challenges. Our next assignment would take us to Cape Cod/Buzzards Bay, MA. We were there when 911 took place (My husband was a first responder via USCGC BEAR, but that's another story). We had our next assignment at Kittery, ME (Portsmouth, ME). We lived in S. Berwick, ME and Dover, NH respectively. May 2005, we would move to Newport News, VA where we would have many new challenges and it would ultimately change our family forevermore. In 2012, I would move to New Orleans, LA without my family (not by choice), and begin a new life with new challenges. I would meet someone and get in a relationship there. I had many challenges to overcome (saving a friend from Drug and alcohol addiction and his 2 houses), and I would be successful in business (I was a Hostess/Cashier for a top Chinese Restaurant in New Orleans). My family began passing away my Aunt (on my father's side), my father (08/08/14) & my husband (08/09/14) of 27.5 years, and my Step-Father (10/04/16). So, when my mother began having more health issues, I left my life in Louisiana to take care of her. The long distance broke up my relationship. My mother had too many people trying to help her and it was creating problems, I left Cottonwood, AZ to return to New Orleans, LA. I came back to Cottonwood, AZ to take care of my mother again after she had her stroke in December 2018, and got rid of everyone in her house. Now, I live in Cottonwood, AZ. I'm still single and going through more trials. I went back to College and so far have a 3.61 G.P.A. Can you believe it? I het the needed help and tutoring I need and that helps me a lot. I'm in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Beta Gamma Pi Chapter, Students of Leadership, National Students of Leadership Society, and SSS TRIO. My latest picture shows me at the 2022 P.T.K.Honors Gala in Colorado.
I'm a survivor. Nothing will keep me down (not even the Corona Virus)! So, have a great day, stay safe and always remember that: 'God will bless you as you bless others & have blessed me!'
I hope to hear from you all soon!
