Terri's Story
Life
I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast News. After graduation, I did not pursue a career in broadcasting. Instead, I became the Muhlenberg County Campus Liaison which is an extension of Madisonville Community College. As a Liaison, I primarily focused on recruitment efforts and public relations. In 2001, friends of mine introduced me to my soulmate and the love of my life, who I married in 2002. I married Major David Clore with the United States Army. Dave is originally from Central City also. His family moved away during high school. Many of you know his relatives: The Greenwood's and Lawton's who still reside there. Dave graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in Communications. After graduation, he chose the Army as his career. When we married, we lived at Fort Leavenworth, KS; however, in 2003 we moved to Fort Hood, TX. I never knew that I would end up moving around the country and become an officer's wife. Currently, I am the Volunteer Coordinator at Families In Crisis, Inc. FIC, is an emergency safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a former contestant in the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America, my platform focused on child abuse prevention, which provided me with knowledge and experiences that are beneficial to my work. Dave is deployed in Iraq and will be there for a year. That's the one thing I do hate about the military. Deployment's are emotional roller coaster rides, which involve alot of worry, stress, and seperation anxiety. Oh, I forgot to mention, we do plan on having children sometime soon, but as of now our children include Luna and Schatzie (our dogs). The girls are hunting dogs. My husband is an avid hunter. Luna is an English Pointer and Schatzie is a German Shorthair. They are precious. Some of my hobbies include singing and baking cakes for special occasions, cooking and gardening. After Dave retires about five years from now, we plan on moving back to KY or TN.
