Terri's Story

I always wanted to be a Flight Attendant when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were WRONG!!!. After 25+ years as an RN, I decided it was time to live my dream and I've never loved going to work so much! I currently fly for Jet Blue (from JFK in NYC) and adore it! The weirdest job I've had was as Medical Director for a county jail--talk about a fish out of water--OHHHH my! Yep-STILL naive in many ways-but smart enough to know that was far from a good fit for me!!! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Bob Erbrick , because as my first love he shaped so much of my life. There are so many childhood friends who are so often on my mind. Dawn Richter and Dee Mc Ginnis were so special, as were Susan Fowler and Laurie Leonard(OC)-too many to mention. I was married for twenty-five years(29.5 yrs together)and thought it would last forever-unfortunately that turned out to NOT be the case. I am divorcing but confident life holds much for my future. I have four fabulous kids from my marriage and adore any time I can spend with them. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel a kitchen and add on a brick-lined pizza oven. My dream home would be modest, love and family and friend filled, warm, cozy and beautifully landscaped. There are several teachers esp from Absecon Schools who were amazing--Ms. Frambes, 4th grade, Mr.Finnerty-love of science and skiing, Mrs. Sabbath.....Expand for more
.had honor of caring for Mrs. Barrett (Holy Spirit -chemistry) before she passed away. We shared memories of teachers/school events-awesome!.. and worked in OR with Stash Marczack-that's Dr.Marczack-great guy/excellent surgeon. I share my current home (a crashpad) with 10 roommates, which I find insane..My kids and 'ex' live in my marriage home in Marmora. I had my own apartment right after HS and paid my way through college-paying for my apt, a new car, school, books etc. SO... to have an almost dorm-like setting at this point in my life is STRANGE! It is called a crashpad and is a house on Long Island, NY shared by airline personnel for off-flight 'crashing'. It is surprisingly quiet and sometimes lonely as people come and go- spending little real time here. I still maintain a friendship with Karen Kuzis. We met on her first day at HA Marsh (Absecon) and we have been friends ever since. Last summer, I visited her during her birthday and went whitewater rafting, hiked the foothills and had a blast. Another longtime friend is Fran Gray-we met in Nursing school and 'stood' for each other. Although she did not go to school with us, she married the older brother of our elementary school friend, Bobby Gray-who we lost as we graduated 8th grade. Small world/great friend. Well...I used the 'story wizard' prompts to give tiny glimpse and while Mrs. Sabbath would not be thrilled with the flow here ... that's a glimpse of my story. Yours?
