Greetings from Cotacachi, Ecuador! terrilds at msn dot com
I moved to Bakersfield in 1985. When I got divorced, I didn't see any reason to go back to Ventura as I had no family left there. I shudder to think what you guys who stayed in Ventura are paying for housing. In June of 2006, our family moved to Mustang, OK, a suburb of Oklahoma City (capitol of Oklahoma). We had a nice house on five acres of land in a tract called Thoroughbred Acres. Ironically, we did not ever have any horses.
Last year, my husband got the unshakeable idea to move to Ecuador. We bought a house here and the boys and I moved here while Fred stayed in Oklahoma to sell our house. After spending tens of thousands of dollars and taking a good sized loss on our Oklahoma house, he got here and decided Ecuador is not for him and to divorce me.

but I have two children now. James is 15 (7/3/95) and Thomas is 14 (1/6/97). I am homeschooling them and they are doing very well.
I used to operate a small secretarial service out of my home and during tax season, I used to work for H&R Block. One year I ran the cafeteria at our church school. I will be opening a second hand store soon here in Cotacachi. This will be a good fit for me since I love haunting thrift stores and there are none here.
My hero is my grandmother, LaVere Allen who died in 1976. She raised two step-kids (my mother and my uncle) and then she raised three grandchildren (my two brothers and me). She was always very involved in our lives (PTA, Cub Scouts, taking us to music lessons, etc.) and was the best Christian I have ever met on this planet.
I have learned a little more about how much God loves us from having kids.
