Life is a roller coaster ride, huh? So many twists and turns and ups and downs but mostly fun. I'm currently in Arizona where the warm weather and sunshine suits me well. I'm trying to be a retired person but may have to do some substitute teaching or temp jobs to fund my travel desires. Every day is a new day and presents so many possibilities. College days at MCC, MSU, Cal State Hayward and Hope seem so long ago, but I manage to dredge up lots of memories of those days with relative ease especially when I get together with old friends from that period (and yes, we are all old now). My military days are far behind me now but I have vivid memories of the active duty days at Ft. Bragg and Hanau, Germany and hope to find some of those special people. Army Reserve days in WA and at Camp Parks, CA were really great and I have maintained some special friendships from that era. Being a math teacher (1992-2007) was a good choice for me after Mark died and I had to balance work with single parent responsibilities. Even had the chance to live and work in Costa Rica for a year and a half though the kids didn't appreciate that as much as I'd hoped, but I thought it was great! I've actually taught in 7 different schools - public and private. But now it's time to find a new career. The kids are now grown and gone. Travis lives ...Expand for more
