Terril(Joe)'s Story
Life
As many of may or may not remember I joined the Navy reserve my junior year and went on active duty after graduation. I served 2 years on the USS Maddox( DD731 ).Moved to California after I got out.I worked as a stationary steam engineer and then a steelworker. Oh,ya also got married. Still am, going on 41 years. Jan has put up with a lot. We then moved to Port Angeles, where I went to Peninsula College in the Fisheries Technology program. I worked for several Indian tribes during the Judge Boldt decision years as well as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and a joint salmon commission between the US and Canada. Also during those years I started another career as a timber faller. After moving back to the Seattle area our 2 children were born. een to Iraq and back and is still in the Navy SeaBee Reserves, and our daughter Torrey graduated from Fife High , and is now working 2 jobs in downtown Seattle.
Time for an update: Still working as the Facilities Engineer for the Puget Sound ESD. Son Trevor is now an Iraq and Afganistan vet. Daughter Torrey has spent this summer on a cruise ship in Alaska. Biggest change in my life is that my wife Jan is no longer in the house. She has early onset of Alzheimers, and had to be placed in a memory care facility. A very strong lesson about life. Never take loved ones for granted(not that I did). You never know what God has in store for you!
Newest update. Retired from the ESD on July 31, 2013 after 18 years. Now enjoying the retired lfe.
NEW NOTE: I have chosen to not upgrade. Therefor I can no longer see who visits me. Sorry would love to reconnect with my classmates, but don't think much of this site and their quest for money!
