Terry's Story
Received from Oregon State BS degrees in forest management and engineering. Also have Masters of Public Administration. Retired in 2002 after career with Washington Department of Natural Resources. Currently active in emergency management as member of a Washington all-risk incident management team - wild land fires are primary assignments. Hope to clock 50 years of involvement with fire - first was a 1966 BLM fire near Battle Mountain. After retirement worked 4 years for FEMA in emergency response and recovery efforts.

d in Peace Corp (Venezuela) as newlyweds. We have a son and daughter and two wonderful grandsons all of whom fortunately live nearby.
Spend a good deal of time in Great Basin exploring, kicking rocks and simply enjoying areas beyond the pavement. Susan and I planned to attempt summiting the highest peak in each of Nevada's counties, simply as an incentive to see more of our beloved home state. That is still on my 'bucket list' for 2015 and beyond.
Current interests are the history and pre-history of Nevada, archaeology, and the Basque culture & language. Also researching overseas volunteer opportunities.
