Terry's Story

thank you for taking a sneak peak at my profile i have to start out by saying that the lord has been very good to me there,s not one day that passes that i don,t thank him for good health good finances and peace of mind.I wish i could find the words to express my appreciation for all that he,s done for me but i can,t. My school years was just one horrible nightmare from the very first day i went to school when the teacher thru her boots at me to when i got booted out of scarlett hts for ripping off a teachers brand new good watch and smashing it to pieces on the floor and making another teacher have a nervous breakdown in front of the whole class and blaming me for it.These last two incidents have still bothered me to this very day. This teacher nelson i think his name was in the prep nine class was trying to teach a class when i got up and walked in front of him hegot so upset that he pushed me with all his might backwards that i had to grab on to something before i hit the floor and it just happened to be his wrist and his brand new gold watch that he got for an anniversary came off his wrist smashing to the floor and breaking into a thousand pieces. Now i will swear to this very day even on a stack of bibles if you,d like me to that this was not intentional it just was a knee jerk reaction that your body will do to break some of the fall when you get thrown half way across the classroom. As he was picking up t...Expand for more
he pieces of the watch off the floor i kind of felt bad afterwards that i didn,t even help him out. As bad as that may seem the second incident even affects me even more when a 6 foot6 giant of a teacher i can,t remember his name a gentle ben or hoss cartwright kind of man breaks down in front of the whole class and starts crying and says that i am giving him a nervous breakdown you know i still can see the pain in his face and the tears in his eyes as he was becoming unstrung and i must confess that i did push him over the edge which still hurts me to this very day. I know you can,t change the past but this is my own little way of trying to make some kind of ammends for these final two incidents that exiled me from that beautiful school.I am a single man never been married with no children living in sault ste.marie but in this smaller community i,ve made many friends who i consider to be my extended family. I was able to retire in 1990 at a very early age and move up here enjoying my freedom in a gentler society but i refuse to take any of the credit for this it was all because of him the lord working behind the scenes to be able to accomplish this.I do come down to the big city occasionally to visit friends and business associates and i will never refuse anyone who would like to meet for a coffee while i,m visiting.I hope you all are healthy and well and able to prosper in this struggling economy best wishes terry haskill
