From even before HS graduation from MWHS, I worked for KMPH TV-26 in Visalia/Fresno (now Fox26) in many capacities. I started as a PT tape loader, audio and camera person, and moved up to On Air Operations Supervisor by 1982. During most of the 1980's, I was Technical Director for the station's local newscasts and Bulldog Sports events. It was my Sportscasting TD work that got me noticed in the LA and International TV markets thanks the national renowned sports and special events producer Howard Zuckerman of Howard Zuckerman and Associates (I owe you big time sir). It was in 1988 I was offered the deal I couldn't refuse - particularly since my then current boss made it clear he wanted to give others opportunity at my position. I left the San Joaquin Valley in MAY 1988. Until OCT 1999 I worked for IDB Communications/Keystone Communications/GlobeCast North America starting as a Network Technical Director for the Prime Ticket Network. By 1990 I moved into the International side of the business and held the position of Supervisor for the International and Domestic Video Control Center (VCC). In 1994 I accepted the position of Director of the Sunset Studio Technical Operations Facility, the 16-17 and 20th floors of the CNN Building on Cahuenga and Sunset in Hollywood, as well as performing ancillary management support for the company's Special Projects Department. In that capacity I was enabled to travel around the world working events such as all Olympic Summer and Winter Games plus other high profile media and sporting events. During those years I worked alongside many famous media people in front of, and behind, the microphones and cameras. From 1999 until early 2002 I worked for Mark & Carol McKibben as Broadcast Operation Manager for McKibben Communications/FiberSat Communications maintaining their satellite, fiber and Internet broadcast and conditional access operations and staff. After leaving McKibben, I started a small satellite & fiber broadcast engineering company in that I eventually sold to Panamsat/Intelsat in late 2004 for nice "retirement" money. Retirement being what it is, I grew increasingly bored with SCUBA diving all the time. In mid 2005, I was asked to return to the industry and contract as a consulting freelance SD/HD Satellite and Fiber Broadcasting engineer, security and investigation "expert". I also had a large segment of EU and ASIA business that involves the Fiber transport of TV, Radio and ancillary broadcast data.
