hristiana, TN where we are surrounded by our family and friends. I did retire, but after two years and the economy being the way it is, I was forced back into the work force, and I can tell you I really don't like it at all... I still remember my old friends from my High School days, those who worked with me at the Jewel Tea in Lombard and those of whom hung out with me and did silly things. My fondest memories are the days when the lilacs were in bloom, the cop cars being purple and white, going to the theater on Main Street after turning 18 to see Irma La Duce, eating at Dog N Suds, getting fresh bread from the Lilac Bakery, going off to Skips to try to meet boys, playing softball for the PoneyTail league for Lombard Park District, the big snow storm in 67 and having to walk to the Jewel with my hair in rollers so it would look nice. Those were the days, non of which I will never forget.
