Terry's Story
Life
Joined the Army shortly after I got out of High School (March of 1966). I first went to basic training at Anniston Al. I then went to the communications school at Ft. Gordon Ga. That was where I met my first husband, who I married after I got to my next duty station and whom I divorced after I left the service. While in the Army I was a Communications Specialist stationed at Ft. Leonardwood MO.(Oct 66-Jan 68). I met my second husband a few years after leaving the military, he is a police officer. rs. I have 4 children, all of age, and four grandchildren. I worked in downtown Chicago for a short time at an investment firm. I then went to work for a trucking company, McLean Trucking, in the Chicago suburbs I was there for three years. When I got divorced from the police officer, I moved downstate and started working at Chanute AFB IL, I stayed there for 11 years and when it closed I tested for the Postal Service. Currently working for the Champaign IL. Post Office. I have been there since 1995. I am now retired, since Nov 2007.
