Charles's Story
Life
I am SINGLE once again. I am currently writing a novel. or should I say currently rewriting it. I am working on my memoirs, and I have some poetry written. I just love being with my Family and enjoying different adventures.
My father is retired U.S. Air Force after 20 years and I was along for the ride 16 of those years. I guess you could say I am a retired Air Force Brat, only it seems that it took a lot longer for me to get my feet sinked into concrete.
We spent the last 9 years of my dads service there at Pope Air Force Base North Carolina. I didn't want to leave when he got out, but alas when you are only 16 what choice do you have. I think fondly of those years though, as my years of growing up cause it seems I did a lot of it during that time.
After moving to SC I tried organized high school for a year and half, play football on the freshman team my first year. But then I quit and went on to get my GED through Greenville Tech.

ame to realize it was the kids that I loved if anything.
I should have seen that as my que to leave then, but I was in deep, had a good job and was in the everyday cycle of life. Eventually though things did work my way, I had to have back surgery and due to that and the restrictions my doc put on me, I couldn't go back to work. So I filed my long term disability and with my first check did some traveling, meeting new friends and seeing new sights.
Feb of 2000 found me in Beaumont Texas, and I thought I had found the next and last wife but before we even got to the alter that went sour. Not though before I was stuck there for two weeks. But I landed on my feet then, did a lot of listening and lot of learning because of that. Next stop on my agenda was the west coast.
I ended up in Southern California in May of 2000 and as they say got sucked in. But not sucked in enough that I couldn't get out before the concrete hardened around my ankles. A year later and again I was on a Greyhound and this time Motown was my destination. I have been here since then.
Well there you have it the novella of my life so to speak
UPDATE i am now once again below the Mason Dixon line...
