Terry's Story
Time to turn the page on Trinidad and Humboldt State U. and start a new chapter in the desert terrain of Hemet, CA. Moved back to So. Cal. August 1, 2009 to get closer to my family and Kaiser healthcare. Gave up my positions at FUMC and HSU after 6 and 8 years on staff, respectively.I will transfer my AGO membership and seek a position in a church in the Inland Empire. Going to miss the daily sound of the ocean, supplanting it with the slow, steady rhythm of an oscillating fan.
In May, I was honored to play at the Memorial service for my mentor and friend Dr. Deborah Clasquin who passed in April at the age of 52.She was a remarkable pianist and teacher. gh, her most prized student and young friend of mine who also played at the memorial. He will be performing in Temecula in Nov. 09.
The grandchild count is now at 8 with the arrival of Sophie in July 08. My son Jordan and family are now in Germany after 15 mos. in Iraq.
I am again hopeful to see a World Series game as my "Little Bro", Dennis has season tickets to the Angels. I'm also looking forward to the many Pipe Organ concerts upcoming in the LA area which were infrequent in Humboldt County. I plan to visit Idyllwild, the "Island in the Sky", frequently.
The 50th will be here before we know it. Can you believe it? Perhaps I'll cross paths with some of you before then. Terry Yard
