Life

I received my double BA (History and Philosophy) from UMSL in 1995 and my MA (History) from UMSL in 1998.
After two years of teaching history part time at Flo Valley and Lewis and Clark Community College, I spent nearly a year teaching computer programming full time at Vatterott College. I then left that field to become a Software Engineer. After the struggling IT market left me laid off three times, I decided St. Louis is a LOSER, and my wife and I relocated to Phoenix (more opportunities and far better weather) in August 2003. I now work for Ticketmaster in South Phoenix. There is nothing better than driving past the Phoenix skyline during my daily commute and seeing Squaw Peak, Camelback Mountain, Four Peaks, and the McDowell's in the background. Even sweeter is making your way south on I-10 past the airport and seeing the America West planes fly ove...Expand for more
r the highway into Sky Harbor Airport, as you head toward South Mountain. Closer to home, I continue to teach History at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, one of a dozen colleges in the Maricopa County Community College system.
I married Tawney, my beautiful wife from Fountain Hills, Arizona, in 2000. We bought our first home in O'Fallon, MO in 2001 and we now own a home in Goodyear, AZ, one of the fastest growing cities in the state, 20 miles from downtown Phoenix, and right in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. I am now 100% Arizonan, and my only regret is that it took me 31 years of living before I moved to the most beautiful state in the country.
We spend many of our weekends commuting to the East side of the Valley of the Sun (suburbs like Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa). However, as the West Valley grows, there are more and more things to do on our side of town.
