Theresa's Story
Let's see I graduated from Lane in 2002, and then started at UIC. I originally started out as Pre-physical therapy, and then changed to pre-occupational therapy. I figured out that I really didn't want to go into either of those fields, so I ended up majoring in psychology and minoring in Germanic studies (just a fancy name for German). As graduation approached in May 2007 I realized I had no idea what I wanted to to with my life. I went on a ton of job interviews and did not get any of them. larity and realized that I really want to be a special education teacher. So I put in a application for DePaul, and I got in. I started working on my masters at DePaul in the fall of 2007. I am in the dual cert program, so I am getting certified in special ed K-12 and regular ed K-9. I will graduate in June 2009. Until then I will keep working at the Fitness Center. I've been there since 2001, and have worked my way from lifeguard to Aquatics Supervisor. However my favorite thing to do at work is to teach swim lessons.
