Thomas's Story
Life
Left Chicago for college in '67. Returned in 2005. Divorced at end of that year. (2 marriages totalled 34 years both divorced). In 38 years, I was at S. ILLINOIS (SIU) Edwardsville and lived in that St Louis area for a few years until going to Winnepeg (married a Winnepeg woman and divorced in 1983), than KC Mo then OKC then Wichita. Formed a corporation (automation) there and ran it for 34 years. Sold the assets. Took a Dallas contract position for 6 months and worked on different contract in N.J. for 9 months and traveled to client sites totaling 2 years.
Resumed old ice skating habit.
Since my return to Chicago I work as a Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management and Transportation department for a few consulting companies. Did that for 1 year. I live on the lakeshore across from the park, (Grant, Millenni...Expand for more
um and the new one that was a golf course now called W Shore or Field Park). In 2007 accepted a contracted position with a Global Transportation Mgmt software company that is a walk from my place downtown for a year.
Learned to dance. Good cook. Last two years contracting with a few Global Supply Chain companies doing cost/benefit analysis specializing in 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) aspects of warehouse management systems. Travel a lot.
2012 Decided on getting an Exec MBA in International Bus from Loyola and completed it in Feb 2013. Lots of effort with Calc, Statistics, Analytical Finance with the other stuff in Marketing, Sales, Econ. Graduated in Rome after trips to China and Vietnam to compare emerged vs emerging countries.
Launching new entrepreneurial venture this year in Chicago. Moved to River Forest this month.
