Life
Hi! This is what I have been up to since 1972. I went to St. John's University (Go Redstorm). Worked in a mental health clinic for about a year before I decided it wasn't for me. Did meet my future wife there (Phyllis). First real job was working for Hertz (you know those Rent A Car people). Worked my way to the corporate office in Manhattan for a few years. Got Married while at Hertz. Had my first two kids at the same time (yes twins). Lost a few brain cells that never came back waking up at night those first few months. But, it was fun. Went back to school at night and got my MBA. Left Manhattan for Long Island. Worked for Weight Watchers Int. Heinz had just bought them and the company was growing. Moved up to General Manager of N.A. before I opted out for my own business. My third daughter was born along the way. Yes three daughters and wouldn't have it any other way. Own a business now. It kind of sucks working for a corporation but working for yourself is no picnic either. It is not a big company but it has paid the bills for the last so many years. e way. I call it my 5 hours of vacation a week. So here I am. I have been married to my wife for nearly 28 years now. The twins are 24. They both graduated from New York University. One is living and working in Manhattan at an adverstising firm, the other is working in Manhattan and planning to move there. The youngest is 19 and is in her second year at FIT in Manhattan. Good situation since we can make the trip to NYC and see all three kids and eat in Chinatown all in the same trip. My wife is an LCSW. (social worker) She works with clients who for the most part are mandated to counseling for DUI. (Where was she when I needed her in High School?). Anyway, we live in Farmingville, Long Island. When we moved out here it was rural and seemed like the end of the earth. Now it's nothing but traffic jams all the way to NYC. I haven't stayed in touch with anyone from high school. Kids make your life too busy to stay in touch. Now that they are getting older the number of golf rounds are increasing and there is more time. Anyway, hope all of you are well! Be well and always have a sense of humor.
