Thomas's Story
Hi to all and my story,
After moving from the country side 6 miles east of Dows we ended up in Eagle Grove Iowa in 1972. I graduated from Eagle Grove in 1978 and enlisted in the US Army.I flew as an crewchief on UH-1 helicopters untill 1984 and then worked for Lockheed in the High Desert of Southern California as a helicopter Quality Assurance Representative untill 1990. I then moved to Palmdale, California and worked as a Quality Assurance Rep. for 1 year with McDonnel Douglas Aircraft Company on a Navy Carrier Lander called the T-45 Goshawk. I then moved to Salt Lake City and went to work for McDonnel Douglas as a Quality Assurance Rep. on Commercial Air...Expand for more

I then decided to enlist back into the military this time with the Utah Air National Guard full time. During this stint I flew on an Intelligence Platform called Senior Scout and spent many years helping locate the bad guys in Central and South America and of course Afganistan. I retired from the Air Force last April and now work in Salt Lake City as an Electronic Engineering Technician.
Mostly these days I just like spending time with my family and fishing in the Mountains of Northern Utah.
I have good memories of Dows and attending school there as I have traveled alot and prefer a smaller town. Hope all is well with everyone!
